As per the reference cited above, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha in the state are informed that the Department of School Education & Literacy has stated that they are aware that 21st June is celebrated as International Day of Yoga (IDY) every year. The 10th International Day of Yoga will be celebrated on 21.06.2024. In this regard, M/o AYUSH has planned to celebrate 10th IDY all across the country through various activities related to yoga. In this regard, M/o AYUSH has requested this Ministry to organize Mass Yoga Demonstration by students, teachers etc., on the IDY and also requested to arrange Yoga workshops/seminars for teachers, students in schools.
Hence, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha in the State are requested to organize Yoga camps in each school of all management under their jurisdiction and encourage students and faculty for participating in the celebration of 10th International Day of Yoga and other yoga related activities in their schools.

All the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators in the state are informed that the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi has stated that 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) with the theme Yoga for Self and Society is to be celebrated across the world on 21.06.2024. After the initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in 2014, the world has been celebrating the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on the 21st, June every year, since the last nine years. It has helped India to spread the message and benefits of Yoga which is widely acknowledged across the world. The Ministry of Ayush, being the Nodal Ministry for observation of International Day of Yoga’, organizes various events for spreading awareness about the practice of Yoga for holistic well-being and sustainable living.
In this connection, it is requested to make this event a grand success among school children and issue necessary instructions to encourage the students for participating in the celebration of 10th International Day of Yoga and other yoga related activities in schools. Sri A.Subba Reddy, Additional Director, SAMO of Samagra Shiksha is appointed as Nodal Officer for IDY, 2024 and he is requested to follow up the IDY events and upload the same on DoSEL Google spreadsheet- Google link given below .

Keeping this in view, all the District Educational Officers, Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha are requested disseminate information to all schools and collect the photos & videos and to upload the same in State google tracker. State google tracker link will be shared.
Hence, all the District Educational Officers & Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha are requested to monitor the celebration of 10th International Day of Yoga and other yoga related activities and upload the Photographs of Events in the below google spread sheets.
